Planning information, not advice

Everything on Prepper HQ, including the output of the Preparedness Plan Builder, is general planning information for an ordinary household. It is not medical, engineering, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for guidance from a professional who knows your situation.

Anyone whose household includes a medical dependency should plan with their clinician. Anyone installing generators, fuel storage, water tanks, or wiring should confirm local code and use a licensed installer where required.

The numbers are estimates

The Plan Builder applies published baselines and stated modelling assumptions to the inputs you provide. It cannot know your actual consumption, your home's efficiency, your local hazards, or your health. Treat its output as a starting point to adjust, not a specification to follow literally.

Every figure states the rule that produced it precisely so you can judge whether that rule fits your situation.
